Scrawled equations on the chalkboard,
Teacher's talking as she writes.
But I'm not paying attention,
Under bright fluorescent lights.
I Pythagoras with the best of them,
Fibonacci 'till I'm blue.
I'm at home with Euclid's theorems,
And with Turing I just flew.
I'm at one with Aristotle,
I can prove the whats and whys.
But it's warm and I feel sleepy,
As my mind just dreams of Pi!

Something Interesting...
This poem is crammed with the names of famous mathematicians. If you want to find out more about them a great place to start is the Kids Maths Games website. Also, if you think I've spelled pie wrong, Pi is an important mathematical number that you can find out more about at What is Pi? Just don't try to learn the number in full, it's infinite!
